What is Article 9?

Article 9, is an Arizona law/rule that all persons contracted or funded by DDD must follThis law relates to how the Divisions of Developmental Disabilities will proactively and positively support people's positive and adaptive behavior. This course includes a clear definition of techniques that are prohibited from use at any time, techniques that require a division approved behavior plan and/or techniques that require no prior approval. 

This course is a minimum of 3 hours. 

Curriculum for this course comes from the nationally recognized American Safety and Health Insitute (ASHI). This is a blended course and is valid for 2 years from issue date. Our trainers are highly qualifed to meet your needs. We do offer large class sizes of more than 10.  For every 10 students there will be 1 trainer. Agencies/Businesses can sign up for private classes

This course is designed to assist providers who are rendering habilitation services. This course teaches providers how to effectively pair with their members, chaining and many more positive support techniques that will assist with habilitation therapy. 

This course goes over the "5 Rights", how to properly dispense medication and record keeping of medications. This course is required when a provider must give medications listed in the members ISP or Planning Document. 

Our agency offers a wide array of CEU classes. Every year providers are required to complete 6 hours of continued education.  If the provider has not completed the 6 hours by September 30th, they will be inactivated on October 1st until they become compliant. To see a full list of courses available please contact our office. All CEU's are self-paced and each course is valid for 1 CEU credit. 

This course follows the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) for trainers. Becoming a trainer will allow the individual to teach classes under an agency or to start their own CPR/FA company! 

This course must be done within 90 days of hire. This is a required course for non-family related providers rendering Respite services to their members. This offers a glimpse into cultural diversity, proper communication techniques, HIPPA regulations and more! 

*Please note that there is a test at the end of the course that must be complete. Providers must obtain at least an 80% to pass. This certification has no expiration date unless the provider leaves the field for more than 3 years.*

This course must be done within 90 days of hire. This is a required course for non-family related providers rendering Attendant Care services to their members. This offers a glimpse into how to transfer members, repositioning, DDD Inciden, HIPPA Regulations and more! 

*Please note that there is a test at the end of the course that must be complete. Providers must obtain at least an 80% to pass. This certification has no expiration date unless the provider leaves the field for more than 3 years.*

This course is designed to certify an individual to become an instructor.  During the course of the class, you will have to demonstrate all of the skill sets and pass along with the standardized testing.  Obtaining this trainer certification allows your agency to be able to train new providers to render services.
